Very rarely have I met a person so humble and down to earth and that too a celebrity! Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. The moment I saw that she was going to honour the Kolkata Literary Meet with her presence,I made up my mind immediately that I have to be there. To see,feel,hear the person who I adore as a literary genius of current time. And it surpassed even what I expected. Her mellifluous voice, camaraderie with the audience and an all encompassing smile made the evening a rare moment in my life. Even during the book signing session,the smile never left her… answering all questions of each one and posing for photograph. It really made me feel that great people are really humble…no pomp,no show but their humbleness is what makes them great.
